Hawzah News Agency- the full text of Ayatollah Alireza Arafi's message to the training course on the "Comprehensive System of Islamic Thought and Social Life" is as follows:
In the Name of God, the Most High
With greetings to the souls of the prophets and saints, particularly the Seal of the Prophets (peace be upon him and his household) and the Seal of the Successors (may God hasten his reappearance), and with salutations to the pure soul of the late Imam Khomeini, the pure souls of the noble martyrs of Islam, the Islamic Revolution, the war and the third holy defense, especially the martyred and beloved Commander and Imam — I extend my deepest greetings and gratitude to the esteemed professors, scholars and dear seminary students participating in the advanced course of the Comprehensive Islamic Thought System, as well as to the distinguished organizers of this course and the esteemed Deputy for Educational and Moral Development, in the vicinity of the heavenly land and sacred shrine of Imam Reza (peace be upon him). I had wished to visit that great Imam and the sacred resting place of the martyred Leader in person to pay my respects and express appreciation, but certain obstacles prevented this.
I take this opportunity to emphasize that within the framework of the seminary's transformational documents, initiatives and programs, and in pursuit of the growth, development and excellence of the seminary toward becoming a "pioneering and preeminent seminary," the Comprehensive Islamic Thought System initiative holds a position of great importance. Its objective is to familiarize seminary students, particularly those at the intermediate level of study, with the comprehensive system of Islamic thought and the grand framework of religious and revolutionary knowledge from the perspective of the leading contemporary thinkers of the seminary and the two Imams of the Revolution, with a civilizational and revolutionary approach.
The absence or weakness of such a comprehensive, civilizational and life-giving perspective in a seminary student, professor or religious scholar is a significant deficiency that must not be overlooked. Initiatives such as this one, the Wilayah program and the program for studying the works of Martyr Motahhari seek to address this shortcoming and fill this gap.
The truth is that we have always faced incomplete interpretations, limited readings, non-civilizational approaches and narrow-minded perspectives on the noble Islam and the exalted teachings of the Great Prophet (peace be upon him) and his purified household. However, in the modern era, Imam Khomeini, the martyred Imam Khamenei, Allameh Tabatabai, Martyr Mohammad Baqir al-Sadr and their distinguished students and seminary scholars have presented a living, life-giving and movement-inspiring interpretation of Islam through a comprehensive and civilizational approach. This thought manifested itself in practice in the glorious Islamic Revolution, creating a new world, and by divine grace, with the guidance of the supreme leadership, the grand religious authorities, thinkers and seminary elders, the resonance of this intellectual movement will continue in Iran and across the world.
In this context, the martyred Leader's contribution to continuing the path of the great Imam is particularly prominent. In his thought, firstly, this systemic coherence is more tangible; secondly, the extension of this civilizational thought flows through all dimensions and aspects, including Islamic governance and Islamic way of life. Thirdly, this comprehensive thought is more concretely embodied in action and practice. Fourthly, it has spread to global horizons and arenas of resistance. And fifthly, it has been directed toward generating modern Islamic power, the axis of resistance and the dignity of the Islamic Ummah and Iran.
In conclusion, I call upon the esteemed clergy and seminary community, particularly young seminary students and scholars who represent the future assets of the seminary and the Islamic Revolution, to pay serious attention to such strategic matters, transformational initiatives and the Comprehensive Islamic Thought System, alongside field engagement and cultural, social, promotional and public activism. I pray for the success of all of you on this sacred path and difficult journey, and I sincerely express my gratitude and apologize for my absence. I hope you remain under the special care of Imam Reza (peace be upon him) and the Imam of the Age (may our souls be sacrificed for him).
